Play Subnautica in the cloud
Want to play Subnautica but don't have a gaming PC? Rent a cloud rig by the hour, install Subnautica with your own Steam account, and play it from any browser.
Subnautica runs beautifully on a rented RigRentals rig. Because it's a single-player title, it works great through our built-in launcher — you sign in with your own Steam account, it installs, and you play. No gaming hardware of your own required.
The RTX 3060 rig at $1.50/hr is our recommended tier for Subnautica; step up to an RTX 4090 or 5090 if you also want to play more demanding titles in the same session.
What Subnautica needs on a rented rig
Subnautica fits in the included 50 GB with room to spare. 2 hours on an RTX 3060 rig at $1.50/hr comes to $3.00.

Which rig for Subnautica?
Subnautica targets 1080p60 comfortably on the base rig; the 4090 mainly buys you headroom in dense underwater scenes.
Worth knowing before you start
It's a long, save-driven game and the rig is wiped when your hours end. Download your saves through the file browser before the session closes, or you'll start over next time.
