Cloud gaming PC rental โ FAQ
Everything you need to know about renting a high-end gaming rig by the hour. No subscription, no commitment.
How much does it cost to rent a cloud gaming PC?
We bill by the hour with no subscription: RTX 3060 from $1.50/hr, RTX 4090 from $2/hr, and RTX 5090 from $3/hr. You only pay for the hours you actually play, and the rig shuts itself down automatically when your time is up โ no surprise charges.
Do I need a gaming PC to use RigRentals?
No โ that's the whole point. The gaming rig runs in the cloud and streams to your browser, so it works on a cheap laptop, a Chromebook, a phone, a tablet, or a Steam Deck. There's nothing to install on your device.
Can I pay with cryptocurrency, or card?
Both. Card payment goes through Whop checkout (for 1, 2, or 10 hour rentals). For crypto, we accept Bitcoin and 300+ cryptocurrencies (USDT, LTC, DOGE and more) โ no account required. We use crypto because it settles without chargebacks and doesn't require an account, which keeps hourly pricing low.
What happens if my session fails or the rig doesn't start?
Email us with your order ID. See the refund & failed-session policy for exactly how this is handled โ case by case, in good faith.
How fast does my rig start after I pay?
The moment your payment confirms, your machine boots automatically. A Linux desktop rig is typically ready to play in about two to five minutes. Your access link updates on its own as soon as the desktop is live.
Which games can I play?
Single-player and DRM-free games run great, including titles you install through the built-in launcher with your own Steam login. Online multiplayer titles that use strict kernel-level anti-cheat (like some competitive shooters) aren't supported on shared cloud hosts โ the FAQ on your order page lists specifics.
Is there a subscription or commitment?
None. You rent for exactly the number of hours you choose โ 1, 2, 4, 8, 10 or 24 โ and that's it. Come back whenever you want; there's no monthly fee sitting on your card between sessions.
What do I need to start playing?
A device with a modern web browser and a stable internet connection. A wired connection or strong Wi-Fi gives the smoothest stream. You open your access link, the desktop loads right in a tab, and you play โ no downloads, no drivers, no setup.
How is this different from GeForce Now or Xbox Cloud Gaming?
Those are subscription services with fixed game libraries. RigRentals gives you a full Windows-style desktop you rent by the hour โ install what you want, pay only for the time you use, and pay with card or crypto. It's closer to renting a real PC than to a streaming catalog.
How does support work?
Email jasoncomerfordny@gmail.com and we reply as fast as we can. We're a small independent team โ support is by email rather than 24/7 staffed. See the trust section on the homepage for the current honest state of things.
