Play Skyrim in the cloud
Want to play Skyrim but don't have a gaming PC? Rent a cloud rig by the hour, install Skyrim with your own Steam account, and play it from any browser.
Skyrim runs beautifully on a rented RigRentals rig. Because it's a single-player title, it works great through our built-in launcher — you sign in with your own Steam account, it installs, and you play. No gaming hardware of your own required.
The RTX 3060 rig at $1.50/hr is our recommended tier for Skyrim; step up to an RTX 4090 or 5090 if you also want to play more demanding titles in the same session.
What Skyrim needs on a rented rig
Skyrim fits in the included 50 GB with room to spare. 2 hours on an RTX 3060 rig at $1.50/hr comes to $3.00.
| Approximate install size | ~12 GB |
|---|---|
| Included disk | 50 GB on every rig |
| Storage add-on | Not needed |
| Recommended rig | RTX 3060 ($1.50/hr) |
| Genre | open-world RPG |
| Controller | Full controller support. |
Install size is approximate and changes with patches -- check the game's Steam page for the current figure before you pick a storage option.
Which rig for Skyrim?
Skyrim Special Edition runs well at 1080p on the base rig; step up only if you plan on a heavy graphics mod list.
Worth knowing before you start
Modding works, but mods and saves live on the rig and vanish with it. For a modded playthrough, expect to re-install your list each session unless you back it up through the file browser.
